Living in Tacoma, Alyssa and Skylar found their perfect wedding venue in the historic Thornewood Castle. As lovers of gothic architecture, vampires, and history, they were captivated by this authentic English Tudor/Gothic mansion's century-old story. The castle's romantic origins as "the house that love built" by Chester Thorne for his beloved wife Anna resonated with their love story. The Schedule
The Wedding Ceremony on Friday, October 3rd, 2025
Begins at
5:30 pm
In the Secret Garden
The reception will immediately follow inside the Castle.
Cocktails and Appetizers
Dinner Buffet at 6:45 pm
Followed by Cake Cutting, Toasts, and Dancing
The Reception ends at 9:30 pm, and all guests must exit no later than 10:00 pm
The After Party will take place in North Tacoma, details to come…
Relevant Information
In case of rain, the ceremony will take place inside the Castle.
The venue is located on a quiet, residential street, and the entrance is through a gate. There will be attendants at the gate.

Note that parking is limited. We recommend carpooling or using ride-share services to limit the number of vehicles.
Note that the 120 exit off I-5 to the venue is also the main gate to the JBLM Military Base, and on Friday could be very busy. Check traffic and plan accordingly.
If traffic is significantly delayed, we may start the ceremony as late as 6:00 pm.
